West Cumbria has a strong sense of community. Between 1840 and 1880 industrial villages such as Frizington, Cleator and Cleator Moor grew in response to the development of the iron industry. Within these years the population grew from just a few hundred to over seventeen thousand. In this film we feature just a few well known communities like Cleator Moor, Wath Brow, Moor Row and Millom.
